  38. Well if you are refering to using TIN under a UNIX shell then part of the
  39. reason it is faster is 
  40.  
  41.     1. The code is smaller and probably a lot better too
  42.     2. You aren't transmitting as much data.  The list of groups will
  43.        be somewhere under your account while with Netscrape you are
  44.        downloading the entire group list, header data, etc. at once via 
  45.            your modem.  
  46.     3. The ISP or NewsServer probably has a faster processor/s than
  47.        the machine Netscrape is running on.
